GALAPAGOS DAY 2006

Our 2006 Galapagos Day was a sellout, and if it had been permitted we could have provided "standing room only". The eager audience of members, supporters, and other friends were thrilled by a presentation from the BBC Natural History Unit, including selected film clips from their new series on Galapagos.

One supporter who has attended all eleven of these annual events said it was one of the very best, if not the best, that she could recall. The star prize of a 12-night Galapagos trip, donated by Discovery Initiatives, who also sponsored the event, was won by Mr B. Meggitt from Cambridgeshire.

Afterwards 60 guests joined GCT staff and others, including the BBC team and the Director of the Charles Darwin Foundation, for dinner at Flemings Hotel in Mayfair, which was sponsored by Flemings Hotel and Kendermanns wine.
