Galapagos Academic Institute for the Arts & Sciences (GAIAS)

The Galapagos Academic Institute for the Arts and Sciences was established in 2002 by the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, and is a fully operational university for all world citizens on San Cristobal in the Galapagos Islands.

Galapagos Invasive Species

This site is dedicated to the exchange of information on invasive species in the Galapagos Islands. It is managed by a cooperative initiative of the Charles Darwin Foundation, the Galapagos National Park, the Ecuadorian Agricultural Health Service in Galapagos and the Galapagos National Institute.

Galapagos Genetics, Epidemiology and Pathology Laboratory

Introduced and emerging infectious diseases are a global concern for the conservation of biodiversity and represents some of the most serious current and future threats to the unique wildlife of Galapagos. The extent of such disease threats to Galapagos and how they can be dealt with is being addressed by a new collaborative initiative, the Galapagos Genetics, Epidemiology and Pathology Laboratory (GGEPL). The GGEPL website gives more details of the laboratories activities and current research projects.
