DUKE OF EDINBURGH'S THANK YOU

The Duke of Edinburgh's office sent this letter to the Galapagos Conservation Trust following their Galapagos Day event on the 17th October 2001:

"The Duke of Edinburgh has asked me to thank you for the superb evening yesterday. His Royal Highness was most impressed by the talk given by Felipe Cruz who spoke in a very passionate and persuasive manner on an issue which has been pursued by Prince Philip for many years now. His Royal Highness enjoyed meeting Mr Sixto Duran-Ballen and all of the other key guests at both venues, and was thrilled to be able to talk with so many attendees of the lecture at the reception. The dinner at the Music Room was a huge success. Prince Philip was delighted to hear that there have been several generous donations following the lecture and dinner, and is grateful to those of whom have contributed to the cause."
