Dear All,
Just a few words to say how much I enjoyed the weekend in Zurich. A few words of appreciation do not seem adequate for all the hard work and organisation which went into making the event such a success.
The group was just about the right size to be manageable. I reached home in a state of exhaustion on Sunday night, having seen so many interesting aspects... the superb Zoo and outstanding Masoala rainforest dome. It was lovely to be shown round personally by our expert guides Alex Ruebel, Director and Claudia Poznik, of Friends of Galapagos Switzerland.
My passion for cacti as well as tortoises was given a boost on the Sunday morning, as I did not expect to see such a wonderful collection at Sukkulenten-Sammlung and also the tropical plant domes at the Botanical Garden, again with experts in attendance.
Your planning with restaurants, and gastronomic delights was excellent. I especially approve of the civilised wine with lecture on Saturday evening. I found Dr. Keller's presentation very interesting with the right balance of science and travelogue combined.
On behalf of us all from the BCG, very many thanks to everyone concerned.
